Recently Sutton, Linder & Sutton has had
inquiries about Co-management protocol and
post operative care provided by Optometrists
regarding Verisyse Phakic IOL. We have
attached our protocol guidelines below.
The average amount of myopia is -10.25
diopters. Most of our Phakic IOL patients
were chosen because of their high level of
myopia. Their myopia was outside the LASIK
parameter, which would not provide them with
good quality dependable vision. Other
patients received the Phakic IOL because of
thin corneas or abnormal topographies. The patient’s are
satisfied with their visual
outcomes. Some patients have required a
minor glasses prescription post operatively.
Considering these patients high myopia
pre-operatively, they are very willing to accept
this minor prescription to assist them with
certain visual needs. It has been a very
rewarding procedure to offer our patients.
